The most important part of our music ministry is the congregational
worship and praise. One of the primary purposes of our coming together
on Sunday is to “worship the Father in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23).
At Cornerstone Church we worship seriously, joyfully, and enthusiastically.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the worship of our Lord.

Why Do We Stand When We Sing?
“Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites
stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with voices loud and high.” (2 Chronicles 20:19)
Why Do We Clap Our Hands?
“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!” (Psalm 47:1)
Why Do We Lift Our Hands?
- “Thus I will bless You while I live: I will lift up my hands in Your name.” (Psalm 63:4)
- “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” (Psalm 134:2)
- “I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” (1 Timothy 2:8).
Why Do We Have Audible Praise To God?
- “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1)
- “So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord...” (Acts 4:24)
Why Do We Sing In Tongues and In English?
“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then?
I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I
will also sing with the understanding.” (1 Corinthians 14:14 - 15)
Why Do We Have This Type of Worship?
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for
the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit
and truth.” (John 4:23 - 24)
